The first time Yume heard house music, he was hooked. He's been in the DJ game on and off for 7 years. Starting off by purchasing a set of shitty, rundown turntables like every other DJ, he soon began throwing small parties while he attended university. In between studying business and shredding powder in the Montana backcountry, his parties started to grow. The events known as "Winter Beat" became more and more successful as he made a name for himself in that mountain college town.
Next he moved on to Hawaii to play in the waves and island nightlife. He continued to play house events and throw some of his own with moderate success. "Around this time I began getting invited to play out of state parties, fullfilling a personal goal of mine". Word was getting around.
Now you can find Yume in Miami, home of some of the country's hottest nightlife. His new "Stylus Funk" brand keeps tabs on what's happening in the scene, as well as teaming up with others to put together some fun house music events. Keep an ear out if you are walking around South Beach, and you may hear some funky beats vibrating those stylish streets. If it's Yume on the decks, head on in with your dancing shoes on. Yume's sets just beg to be danced to, so listen up and do what your feet tell you.
